When self-made millionaire, Richard Gillespie senses his empire is crumbling, he develops a complex plan to save his legacy. Gillespie entices Dr. Bridgette Lonerghan, a university executive, to join his subterfuge in order to gain access to a valuable portfolio of inventions.

The inventor, Dr. Joseph Ralinski, pocketed millions from illegal side deals over the years. Fed up with Ralinski's self-dealing, high-ranking university officials including Provost Iconera; resolve to topple Ralinski's financial fortress.

Lonerghan becomes the target in a game of ego, greed and lust between Gillespie and his nemesis, Louis Jacobson - Lonerghan's boss as well as her former lover. Jacobsen's initial attacks on Gillespie lose focus when Jacobsen discovers his unfaithful wife is drugging him into spousal submission and plots his revenge against both his former lover and his wife.

The combination of Gillespie's drive and determination underpinned by his sensual charm plus Lonerghan's ruthless approach to business and her overwhelming beauty produce a mercurial union."This deal is getting interesting," Gillespie observes.
