This is the second book in the Farot series, the first being Antoine Farot and Swede. It is the story about the first fifteen years of Antoine Farot's son Jerome's life. He is haunted by the fact that he's not a Latino. At age fourteen he meets Tommy Riley, who introduces him to the the word "Chicano," and he feels like his life has just begun.
