The LaRosa family leaves Italy and lives through 30 years of real events spanning 1908 through 1930 in East Boston, New England and the world.
Father Sandro’s ill-begotten money entwines the lives of the LaRosa family who flee Italy and settle in East Boston in 1909.
While encountering the Spanish Influenza, the Great Molasses Flood, and other historical events, conflict arises between religious zealot Joseph and wife Maria Avita who believes that God helps those who help themselves.
