Treasure of La Chiva

We were sitting on the deck of Captain Dan’s sailing yacht, the Toucan, in the colorful waters over a coral reef in Belize when Ellis Stevens began to share his amazing story about his adventure with an old treasure buried in Mexico. I knew at once that it had to be written. It took more than a year to gain his approval.

This book represents my best recollection of a few days in the summer of 2005 listening to my old friend share his secret experiences about a treasure buried in the 1880’s on a mountain outside of Culiacan, one-third of the way down Mexico’s west coast. We couldn’t believe what we heard.
