Tracks in the Snow

In February of 1878, Johnny Stevens and his family picked up and left their Iowa roots, seeking to homestead in Nebraska. When they embarked in covered wagons on their journey-a trip that would end up taking more than twenty days-they had no idea what dangers and adventures lurked ahead.

Based on letters and writings from the author's great-grandfather, Tracks in the Snow captures the spirit of a boy growing up in the pioneer days on the prairie.
