Hope Montgomery was excited because she was on her way to tell husband Dean they were going to have their first baby! Her life soon begins spiraling out of control and the Old Testament Book of Job plays a part.
Pierce Matthews loses his beloved wife during childbirth. In his grief, he gives the baby to be raised by his in-laws in another city. Through her friendship with his in-laws, Hope becomes involved with the care of baby Sarah Rose.
Eventually, Hope and Pierce's paths cross, but not before Hope builds resentment toward the man who rejected his baby!
