San Francisco in the 1940's at the end of World War II before anyone knew is was almost over, the sensuous women, gadabouts and gadflys, arms dealers, and war time syndicate owners were gambling not only with the ethnic eccentricity of this frontier town; but they were gambling with their families' money in a renown Chinese gambling parlor.
While the scandal of the Rosenberg execution for treason was, by many thought to be an anti-Semitic gesture the one of two true never before revealed historic facts is that the man who turned in the Rosenbergs for trying to sell the A-Bomb secretes was a Jewish man.
Some names are changed, some characters are real, none of the passion of San Francisco and its characters are fiction.
What begins this historical sultry fiction crime drama is another true crime, one never solved yet with that solution resolved by innuendo through fiction makes this novel entertaining and complete.
