Dancing with Mao and Miguel

It's the mid-1970s. Jenny Apple has left the Sixties behind in order to become a revolutionary. But lately she finds herself full of doubts about the potential for radical social change in the U.S. In addition, she feels detached from her comrades in the struggle and has grown weary of organizing in New Jersey factories. When she meets a new worker, Miguel, a veteran of the 1965 revolution in the Dominican Republic, she is instantly captivated by his past and terrified by her attraction to him. As Jenny is drawn closer to Miguel, she attempts to surmount her longtime fears of intimacy. Just when it appears that she's succeeding, she's hurled into circumstances that threaten to devastate her.
