This year 2016, Bobby has been inducted into The Guinness Book of World Records as the longest surviving double bypass heart patient. The designation is for 40 years. Bobby is the published author of three previous books. Looking Back, a hometown history of high school football, Laughin’ Livin’, & Learnin’, stories from a southern textile town and Guy Brown is Back, a biography of his brother, a professional prizefighter. Two have been named winners of the W.P. Peace Book Award presented yearly by the North Carolina Society of Historians.
