They pulled into Yamassee, South Carolina just be-fore dark. They were taken to an old building to be put up for the night. Many more young men arrived during the night accompanied by a heavy rainfall. The morning brought a light sprinkling of rain and reveille came very early for the young men. A bus stood waiting to deliver them to Parris Island, South Carolina.
