Cowboys and Ranchlands: Photographs and Commentary

"Having a camera was a great excuse to be able to visit a lot of ranches," writes photographer Con Haffmans. "[My images] are 'documentary style' photos. I shoot it as I see it and I don't pose anything. To catch snapshots this way is not easy, but one thing is for sure: you are getting the real thing." Since 1990, Haffmans has traveled the American West, photographing cowboys at work and the environments that define their identities.
