Ever wonder why a nation that lost 60 lives to every one life its enemy lost and yet considers the war a victory for their side? That is but one of many strange facets of our Vietnam War that few Americans have confronted. For some reason neither our military nor political leaders are unwilling to admit that two different wars were being fought.

The Vietnamese did indeed win their war for true independence. Reunion, not Communism, was the goal that inspired their dedication to that cause. Their charismatic leader never claimed anything else while our leadership never listened to him.
