As each of them struggles with the issues around Maggie's running away, the strength of the bond between them becomes evident. This is a story of the resilience of the characters and the mother-daughter relationship and about how each of them has been running away. The suspense line in this thriller makes it a fast read that will appeal to at-risk teens who don't like to read and any reluctant reader - as well as adults and young adults who enjoy a good story.
