My name is Stephen Michael Marek and I have lived with chronic hepatitis C since 1971. The disease has not crippled my daily life but if you have hepatitis C, you know it could be the death of you. Before starting “triple combination drug therapy” in September 2012, I searched for a firsthand patient accounting of how these potent drugs would affect my body and mind but found none. The descriptions offered by the drug companies regarding the side effects associated with this therapy scared the Hell out of me. I chronicled my first twelve weeks of therapy including diet, exercise and supplement program that helped me manage a very difficult therapy by providing the reader a detailed description of the side effects I encountered from taking these powerful drugs on a daily basis. Curing Hepatitis C was written for the family members and caregivers of those who will choose this path to a cure and to help the millions who have been infected with this virus get through a very difficult therapy. Curing Hepatitis C was written for the millions who have yet to find out that they are infected with hepatitis C to help them understand what to expect when they are diagnosed with this disease.
