An excerpt, from the story, "Do Not Hazard Those Stormy Seas":

"Are you the Siren?"

She was amazed. Men didn't speak to her. Men silently drowned themselves for her. Oh, but his voice. She liked it. His voice was kind. She was surprised that she liked how kind it was.

"Yes," she whispered in bewilderment.

Her answer was more puzzled than confident. She was still unconquerably confused.

"Will you drown me?" he asked.
