Cardiac Wonder

These poems explore forgiveness, renewal, and the continual and varied returns to the primary joy that creates all life. Theresa Henson has studied English and Art at University of California, Santa Barbara and Theology at Seattle University. She is active with family, writing, art, and music. From "Healing": "The true part, the moment you felt / the earth back under your feet: the long lift / of each vertebrae and all the blood that / rushed in where the bones sighed / and considered one another placidly. / The sun revealed a new path, something for the / feet to touch and the spine to sway over. / The past receded with the truth of your best efforts. / The same muscles will make miracles / of what's to come.
