The Carriage Driver 2

The Carriage Driver is your liaison to the heaven of your choosing. The ride is free; of course, you have paid in advance. Nuelle is his beautiful white mare; she gently guides the carriage through the streets of Boston. Neither the Carriage Driver nor Nuelle, suggest or offer your destination. That is up to you once you are invited up the step into the carriage. And there is no hurry in the decision. You are welcome to wait at the castle in the sky for as long as you like.

Captain Griffin Chaffey is, The Carriage Driver. When he and his men met death in a Civil War skirmish, he refused to go to his resting place until every man in his command found judgment. He found solace in this work and continued throughout the war carrying souls from both sides, as death has no politics.

After the war, Griffin returned to his home in Boston to continue his work. You will find here in these pages the stories of children, the homeless, and the one lost in his madness. Some stories glimpse into the battles to get the fare to heaven paid, the struggle with temptation. The Captain runs into a motley crew in a graveyard who wish to know why their names were not in the book.

These stories are to entertain, not to enlighten. They were written to awaken the imagination, not to preach or enforce established concepts. The Promised Land is just over the hill; glimpse inside the lives of those extended an invitation.
