Witch of Tahquitz: Facts and Legends of the Village of Palm Springs

When I was young, my mother told me a story about a witch-shadow that would swoop down on bad children, taking them away from their parents, never to be see again. I thought it just a story, until my great-grandfather died. In his Will he left me a journal. He was Palm Springs Constable in 1919.
