LOVE'S MUSES, Recognizing His Rival picks up in Wilmore, Kentucky with Jessamine County's strongest deputy clinging to the hope that the might of his muscles are enough to pull to safety the love of his life. After reminiscing the fateful day that bonded them for life, Katie's mind returns to the present at the Cheapside Bar and Grille, only to be confronted face-to-face with the new obnoxious and anger-driven super-star Nick Thomas and his delusional whack job groupie. A fierce bar fight ensues between Scotty, Katie, Nick and Brooke, ending with a broken groupie running away humiliated, and a superstar's status obliterated from the atomic blast of the truth of who his rival was to him. A brick wall courtesy of the now Kentucky State Trooper Scotty P. Wells begins the time clock, counting down the days with his beloved. The brick wall of judgment slams open the prison door that held captive the sweet Nicolas Paul, which was buried deep in the sub-conscience of the drunken country music super star. The now half-starved Katie continues to live in denial of her life-threatening disorder, as well as the love living in her heart that is fighting its way out for the threatened life of her Nicolas Paul as he lays unconscious with his concussed head in her lap.
