Mo money equals more problems - legal ones. For Nina that rings true when she's blackmailed into paying an anonymous caller a large sum of money she doesn't have, in a short amount of time. The request is simple, if she and her sister don't pay up, they'll be exposed as the frauds they are - literally.

That's only the beginning of Nina's problems as she struggles to raise a child with her on again-off again boyfriend/child's father Rashid. He's an ex-drug dealer determined to do right and win his family back. That proves difficult since he has his own unfinished business and a determined competitor who also wants Nina for himself. At first Naseef seems charming, but Nina soon realizes that everything that glitter, isn't gold.

Through the mental challenges, Nina still attempts to guide her naïve, baby sister Briana, while also build a relationship with her distant, older sister Onney and estranged aunt - who all have skeletons in their closets unknown to anyone - skeletons that may actually cripple them all. Drama, lies, and secrets are plentiful in the city where cash is king and whenever it's all for the doe.
