Five Six Seven Eight: Prepare Today...Make Your Life Count

Cheerleaders today spend hours developing their physical skills. Whether the cheer athlete is a part of an All Star program or their school team, they spend most of their time developing tumbling, jump, stunt and dance skills. Five Six Seven Eight brings another set of skills/qualities to the forefront. These areas include Teaming, Leadership and Character.

Cheerleaders have found themselves in the spotlight...and sometimes that light has been created via stereotypes and outsiders looking in. Cheer in general is in the spotlight for being dangerous but cheerleaders themselves have not always been given credit for being a 360 degree athlete. That is, many times they are looked at as snobby, lacking intelligence and not strong contributors.

Five Six Seven Eight is written directly to the cheerleader. It challenges the cheerleader to take advantage of opportunities to stand out in the crowd as a leader, as a strong teammate (whether on the stage or in the classroom) and to be a contributor to a positive cause.

Five Six Seven Eight was designed in a way that newly formed teams or existing teams can also use it as a guide to focus on these qualities, to build stronger teams and to remind the cheerleader that CHEERLEADER is made up of two strengths: Cheer and Leader.
