A is for Adam: Growing Up In Christ for Pre-readers

This first book of the Growing up in Christ series helps equip Christian parents to empower their pre-school kids to grow up in Christ in a messed-up world. This book helps kids ages 2 to 5 have fun with Mom and Dad as they learn the English alphabet and learn to love God and His Word with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Each alphabet letter features a pithy nursery rhyme and a colorful sketch that highlights a Bible character or a biblical value to help kids grow up in Christ in a world that is often hostile to these beliefs and behaviors.

Reading this book and discussing the questions raised under most of the colorful sketches will provoke bonding conversations between parents and their kids about many core dimensions of a faithful Christian life and its challenges, including bullying and sex. This series is written from a biblical creation-fall-redemption-consummation perspective. Kids learn to see themselves and others as being created in God's image. Hence, they and all people deserve love and respect, regardless of their sometimes messed-up beliefs, behaviors, and relationships. The Parents' Appendix suggests more ideas and Scriptures that parents may choose to add to these discussions at their discretion as their kids grow.
