Great Monster Corn

Heather's family had lived on the same farm for 141 years. But one day a very smart man in a pinstripe suit arrived to sell her father, Farmer Tom, some very special invented corn seeds. "These seeds grow tall, with no weeds at all", he said. Farmer Tom was taken in by all the fast talking modern inventions, but Heather soon noticed the pigs were getting sick and the rat family in the barn were growing lumps on their bodies. And then Farmer Tom learned that he would have to buy seeds from them every year. "They're invented you see," said Pinstripe, "We twisted and twakked them, so they're no longer free".
