Legal investigator Brewster tries to stop the mining in the Courts but is drawn into the siege following a brutal murder. Brewster has been defending the poor and marginalised for years. When he realises that the mine has been approved through a corrupt process, he challenges it's legality in court. But the return to an Indigenous community of an SAS soldier sees the People take the law into their own hands attracting the might of Australia's anti-terrorist strike forces.
