Before there was Donald Trump, Canada had Peter Pocklington. A maverick entrepreneur from oil-rich Alberta who made millions, he bucked the political establishment and sought the office of prime minister. He was the hostage in a famous kidnapping and, most prominently of all, transformed the Edmonton Oilers into the best and most successful hockey team in history, rapidly gained his place in Canada's national consciousness as "Peter Puck."

Then, in a few short years, he went from hero to zero; when he sent Wayne Gretzky, Canada's most revered hockey player, to California, his effigy was burned and his reputation trashed. He sought refuge in the States, but ran afoul of the feds and earned a felony conviction.

In The Puck Talks Here, Pocklington's remarkable life is recounted in page-turning fashion - from glorious heights to disheartening depths, from crushing defeat to inspired renewal.

The book was previously published under the title "I'd Trade Him Again" (First printing 2009, second printing 2011). This third manuscript is identical to the second printing, but the authors have chosen to retitle the book so as to more accurately, in their opinion, reflect the content.
