Pine Flat: Families of the Modini Preserve

There were five American emigrant families that lived on the land now known as the Modini Preserve. Jim and Shirley Modini provided audio interviews, access to letters, photos and news accounts of their property. Their were also audio-tape interviews of Ella Nye, mother of Shirley Modini.

The adventures and lives of all five families are detailed from varied sources, and the mix of villians and heros is an interesting tale for those interested in the history of California.
