In "black is not my favorite color" author Lorenzo Pierson takes a serious look into the state of Black America. He discusses what many people believe to be an genocide of the African American family, from high rates of homicide, an increase in single family homes, health, imprisonment, unemployment, lack of education, and a justice system that has destroyed many black families.
