Some Kind of Monster

Subtopian Press presents Some Kind of Monster, the first collection of poems and short stories by writer Kirby Light. Tackling themes of love, hate, loss, longing, and confusion, the poems found in Some Kind of Monster present a view of life and art outside the usual scenes found in the bars and on the streets of Portland, Oregon. The short stories follow the path of Ian Chambers, a young man in his early twenties who muddles through his relationships and daily life in search of meaning, purpose, and what it means to be a man.
