Apocalypse by Government

The Government promised food, shelter, and security in return for the RFID Chip in their left forearm. With starvation and unbridled abuse the rule, the Government promises turned to ash. The Jacks wielded their power with a heavy hand, requiring compliance with every demand, lawful or not. With harsh punishments for disobedience, civilians stepped into line. The Jacks intimidated and abused those they promised to protect. Having traded their freedom for security, the citizens found themselves with neither.
