Evanston's built environment both shapes and reflects our city's culture, economy, aesthetics and historical life. In the 150 years since its incorporation, a multitude of buildings, parks, rail lines, monuments and streets have been realized, each adding its bit to what we have become in 2013. Through Design Evanston's Evanston:150 Years, 150 Places we seek to inspire residents to reflect on our rich legacy and, through this, to recognize the importance of the built environment in shaping our future.
