Intentional Evangelism

Author, Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson, Jr. firmly believes in fulfilling "The Great Commission and that the pastor of an evangelistic church must have a passion for evangelism and for seeking the unsaved.

In "Intentional Evangelism," Dr. Hutcherson shares experiences with fulfilling the call of God within his local context with the main purpose of doing intentional evangelism in a congregation, which is new to him. Because of his deep concern for the African-American Church, he uses this church as the primary focal point for pastors and congregations to intentionally evangelize persons who have not accepted and received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Dr. Hutcherson realizes that the Church Universal is becoming multi-cultural and multi-ethnic; therefore, he believes that intentional evangelism can, and should, be directed to whoever will receive the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The focus of "Intentional Evangelism" consists of a six-week training for members of First Baptist Church of South Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Virginia. Upon completion of this program, the participants will not only be able to do evangelism themselves, they will also desire to train other members of their congregation.
