The Man who left/El Hombre que se fue is a bilingual body of poetry by renowned Dominican poet Juan Matos. In it, Matos analyses, with exquisitely beautiful language and technic, the cultural heritage, with its virtues and flaws, of the rich folklore, people and roots of a specific spot in Dominican history and territory: The Batey.
