Nigeria: A Different Look

A book of socio-political commentary and discussions on the state of Nigerian affairs from a different lens. Contrary to conventional wisdom on what work and do not work in Nigeria, this book suggests that everything is working the way one would expect them to work under the circumstances that prevail. Filled with interesting conversation pieces, this 10 chapter book puts a new lens to the point of view from which people perceive Nigeria. Generally people often see Nigeria as a place where some things work while those that do not seem to work overwhelm the high expectations one has for a nation endowed with human and natural resources. Taking the wise advise of my son, the book suggests that, some things do not seem to work because, by their very intractable nature, these may have no perfect solutions. New circumstances may need to be created to resolve these problems in a way that enhance human dignity. The discussions on politics, governance, education, population density, social services and others are conversation pieces concluded by suggestions for creating a new circumstance for progressive governance in the nation.
