Gladys Nilsson

Chicago-based artist Gladys Nilsson (born 1940) combines drawings in ink and colored pencil with elements of collage and gouache watercolor for her large-scale compositions. Her figurative characters often appear contorted or warped, fluidly filling the canvas with long limbs and pointy features.
