Caroline's junior year at Diaz High School was hard enough. The spring semester had just started and she had already made new enemies. Her best friend Tony was behaving oddly, and she was suffering from a mystery illness that had claimed the life of her older sister, Elizabeth, years ago. If that weren't enough, Caroline gets kidnapped by a time-traveling would-be god who claims to have been Qetzelcoatl in another life.

For N'Nae, daughter of the Adjunct King of Atuaxan, eking out a living in a small city-state at the tail-end of an Ice Age was challenging enough.
