Negotiating With God is an intimate account of a young man's rebirth. Grateful for God's mercy, Sean makes a promise to live righteous regardless of life's circumstances. However, he soon becomes grieved with life due to altering situations that makes living nearly unbearable. Sean arduously searches bible scriptures to find the purpose of life, when suddenly his life takes a tragic turn. Overwhelmed by the back-to-back deaths of relatives and feuding with childhood friends. Sean's structured and once stable life is now inundated with grief and violence. Sean tries to maintain his promise to live right by God, but subsequently ends up hiding behind an abandoned building gently wiping blood from his face. Soft-spoken and peaceful by nature, Sean appeals to God to help him escape from hiding behind the derelict elementary school as a favor, and in return Sean makes another promise.
