The Tumbler

THE TUMBLER shows that the things we work for should be at least as valuable to us as the things we have to give up to attain them, because the time and money spent to achieve something cannot be used to do or buy something else; once used, it is gone. The second chapter shows that the pursuit of perfection can prevent success. There is a time to stop trying to create a perfect painting, a perfect book, or a perfect body and to go on with our work and our lives. The failure to do so can put our success, and even our lives, at risk.
