Letters Home 1861 - 1865

These are Civil War letters home to Galveston, Texas written by brothers William and Charles Schadt. They were at many of the major battles of the Central Atlantic including Gettysburg, Second Manassas, Fredericksburg, Richmond and Chickamauga Tennessee. They were members of the 1st Texas Volunteer Regiment Company L - Lone Star Rifles. The volumn is indexed and includes the roster of Company L.
