When medical examiner Mark Goodman and Carrie
Whittaker meet in a graveyard, over a pile of bones,
they're thrown into a mystery which sends them on a roller coaster ride neither wanted to take. The bones found in North Carolina lead them to Kansas and a forgotten farmhouse of fear, horror and sadness.
Their chance meeting was predestined for more than one reason. Mark joins Carrie in uncovering family secrets and supports her as she grieves for the lost souls of those she never had the chance to know.
Evil awaits them in Kansas. Their original discovery leads them into an even more complex and emotional mystery as Carrie experiences the same tragedy that occurred there thirty years earlier. While they struggle to understand what happened, and fight to reclaim their sanity,
