The mission of Muhammad as a prophet can be properly understood within the context of the religious and socio-eco- nomic conditions of pre-Islamic Arabia. The description of all Arabian prophets mentioned in the Quran will be presented in this volume. The Quran, however, does not make any distinction between Biblical and Arabian prophets; this arbitrary distinction is only for descriptive purposes.
