He has lost his memory and doesn't know how or why he got there The local people take him in and try to help him find his identity. He only knows he loves licorice. Irene and her two sons run the local store. A retired judge, Albert James, and a retired doctor doctor, Herschel Barnes lend their expertise to the quest.
