The Wrong Shoes: A Meredith & Hodge Novel

This is the third in the Meredith and Hodge series, and having lost her, DCI John Meredith wants Patsy Hodge back. It takes the murder of a police officer to get them talking again, but Meredith becomes distracted when one of his own team is kidnapped by a self-confessed murderer. It seems the only way he can secure their release is by revisiting a suicide case from a few years before and proving it was murder. But was it?
Tanya Jennings, once a colleague of both Meredith and Hodge, but now in prison, presents Hodge with a new case. Patsy finds herself pulled into the violent world of right-wing thugs as she searches for an estranged husband. She is drawn to a handsome and talented singer, Ben Jacobs, who reminds her rather too much of Meredith.
Meredith's and Hodge's cases collide when Meredith receives a severe beating by the men Hodge has been questioning. It seems one person holds the key to both mysteries, and he may be dead.
