Jax lets aliens hitch a ride in his mind. The links have always been one way - until one of them. speaks to him. Nothing is what is seems to be: not the girl who talks through his Halo, and definitely not the aliens. Jax has to battle his thoughts and emotions as the world turns against him and throws him into a dark adventure of love and betrayal.
