gillian harding-russell is a sometimes itinerant writer who at present lives in Regina with her husband and the last two of her three children. (The eldest moved to Yellowknife.) She has had three poetry collections published, most recently I forgot to tell you (Thistledown, 2007), and several chapbooks, most recently Maya: Poems for the Summer Solstice (Leaf Press, 2012). She won second place in the Gritlit contest for two years running, for the poem sequences "We came to find what was real, to be afraid" (2012) and "Enhanced Woods" (2013). Where the Days and Nights are Equal Length was long-listed for Exile's in Gwendolyn MacEwen chapbook Award, and "Desert Duets" short-listed as best poem in association with that award.
