Brant's life is mapped out for him. He will attend only the best schools in all of England, he will be groomed to run his father's estate, and he will marry well. With a retired naval officer for a father, who treats him more like a soldier than a son, Brant is bound and determined to break free and create his own destiny on the high seas.
