An Automated Synthesis of Filtering Systems Based on Statistical Characteristics of Discrete Signals: An Automated Synthesis of Filtering Systems

The paper contains description of the developed and mathematically proved methodology of automated (in time domain) synthesis of optimal filtering systems (FS). On the basis of the methodology, a method for synthesizing optimal FS simple moving average (SMA) is proposed. Also a method for generating specialized FS SMA is developed and described. The schematic diagram of "optimized on the basis of the approximation filtering system" (OFS) for pre-synthesizing optimal FS SMA, the schematic diagram of CAD subsystem for pre-synthesizing specialized FS SMA and determining the optimal sampling rates (i.e., without consideration of FS implementation specific requirements) are developed. All of these developments are implemented as a CAD subsystem software for pre-synthesizing FS SMA and tested by means of experiments on processing highly noised non-stationary signals with non-stationary noise component.
