Scooter Nomads

Covers the first half of a journey made by two young men in the 1960s: a pillion journey made by motor scooter, with panniers attached, of some 24,000 miles, across two continents and lasting twelve months; across rough and sometimes, unfriendly terrain.

The adventure was to cover the overland journey from then Ceylon, through India, Nepal, Pakistan, Persia and finally to Istanbul in Turkey ( to be later continued across Europe) - all on the back of one 'Rabbit' motor scooter called 'Mirrabooka'.
