They were perhaps, the most unlikely trio to head for the Outback, a determined Canadian woman with two young boys in a car that was never designed to handle a bush track.

In spite of that, Penny and her boys Danny and Del learned to survive in a harsh and unforgiving land as they traveled from one station to the next. In time, Missus Yank in the black Ford became a minor Outback legend.
