The Crabian Heart

Irena and her son Aleš are refugees living in Dover. Aleš has never seen the sea, let alone one that glows when he's near. On a local beach, he befriends the ostensible Mother of Crabs, an amputee with rigid demeanour and unequivocal warnings. Soon, crustaceans crawl follow and women with pincers threaten to recondition his sensitive heart.
