Slipped Through The Net: Asperger's, Autism and all that Jazz

Joy Thomas was inspired to write in verse about her experiences of life with Phillip, her first child. Although it was initially denied there was a problem it was later admitted he had a learning disability and much later, when Phillip was in his 30’s, he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, the highs and lows of living within a system which at best can seem a continuous round of assessments, red tape, anger and frustration and how the other children in the family were affected.
